Meet Joanne Slevin, sheep farmer and expert spinner, whose mission is to showcase the true value of Irish wool and celebrate its sustainability. Joanne, who grew up on a sheep farm in County Laois, will share her love of sheep and natural fibres and demonstrate her skills in transforming fleece into yarn.

This talk and spinning will be followed by a Q&A facilitated by Leisa Grey.

The event is part of Hands of Heritage 2026, Tipperary Museum of Hidden History's award-winning programme celebrating traditional skills and living heritage.
