History Lecture
Michael Desmond on "the final chapter of the Civil War as it unfolded in these dramatic landscapes, shedding light on the events and decisions that shaped its closing days"
On April 10th, 1923, General Liam Lynch was fatally wounded on the slopes of the Knockmealdown Mountains—a moment that marked the effective end of the Irish Civil War. Yet, in the days that followed, significant military activity continued across the Knockmealdown and Comeragh ranges, with much of it directed from Clonmel.
The lecture will be in the Main Guard Clonmel at 8.15pm.
