Join natural dye artist Lucy Moore and wellbeing facilitator Neil Dennehy for a unique day exploring traditional plant knowledge, biodiversity, and sustainable craft practices.
Beginning with a guided forage along the Suir Blueway, participants will discover local plants that can be used for natural dyes before returning to the Museum for a hands-on workshop preparing dye baths and dyeing wool using heritage techniques.
This special event forms part of Biodiversity Week 2026 (tag) and launches a county-wide programme of traditional craft workshops, heritage walks, demonstrations, festivals, and community events throughout the year.
Hands of Heritage explores how museums can be places not only to look at heritage, but to actively make, learn, share skills, and connect with landscape, materials, and tradition.
