Fethard Scarecrow Festival

LET’S BRING FETHARD TO LIFE WITH SCARECROWS!

We’re giving something a little different a go this year and we’re hoping the whole community will get behind it!

We are organising a Scarecrow Festival in Fethard and we would absolutely LOVE if as many clubs, groups, businesses, schools and individuals as possible would get involved by making a scarecrow.

Your scarecrow can be anything you like! It could be themed around your club, group or business, or it could be completely novelty, funny, spooky or just something totally imaginative.

The more people who get involved, the better it will be! We’re hoping to get the festival off the ground this year, have some fun with it and then build on it and make it even bigger for Year 2.

Registration:

• Scarecrows can be brought to the Tirry Centre on Sunday, October 11th, between 1pm and 3pm.

• When you register, you’ll be given a number and a designated place on the Main Street for your scarecrow.

We have two independent judges who will judge the scarecrows on Friday, October 30th. They are not part of the festival committee, so judging will be completely independent.

If you’d like to make a sign to put beside your scarecrow advertising your club, group or business, that would be brilliant too!

If you have a shop front window it would be great to see that decorated as well

So get your thinking caps on, get creative and let’s have some fun with it!
