Artist Walk-Through: Liminal Imprints
A walk-through of our new exhibition with artist Zoe Velthuysen
STAC are pleased to announce that our 2025 Artist in Residence, Zoe Velthuysen, will be conducting a public walk-through of her exhibition of new work, Liminal Imprints, at South Tipperary Arts Centre, February 6th at 5:30pm, followed by an opening reception at 6pm.
A recent graduate of the BA (Hons) in Fine Art at MTU Crawford College of Art and Design, Velthuysen has exhibited in group shows in Ireland, and has received several graduate awards, including: the Lavit Gallery Graduate Group Exhibition Award, Cork City Council's Arts Office Purchase Prize, and the MTU Student Engagement Exhibition Award. This new body of work, comprising drawing and sculpture, explores how migration and place shape identity, drawing from the artist's own experience of moving from Australia to Tipperary.
With no pre-booking required, this walk-through will add a further sense of occasion to the exhibition's official launch which follows at 6pm, with opening remarks delivered by Tipperary Arts Officer, Melanie Scott.
STAC’s Tipperary Artist in Residence Award is an initiative supported by the Tipperary Arts Office and the Arts Council of Ireland.
