A Historical Walking Tour of Marlfield Village with an introduction to Heritage QR codes.

This walk is 4km and will take approximately 2 hours to complete. Local historian Bernard Lennon will share knowledge on Historic Buildings and Landmarks along the way.

The talks and walk will cover the above ground and the buried Heritage, the Famine riots at Abbey Mills, the great abbey of Inislounaght, the 5 thousand years of settlement, the Tinsley entrance, the Marlfield lake, dam and mins, distillery etc with introduction to the New QR posts.

What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes and a water bottle.
