	an interdisciplinary artist\, creative producer\, and educator\nwhose work
	 explores place and systems of social ecology through collaborative\npract
	ices. With a background in socially engaged art and design\, her projects\
	noften take the form of participatory workshops\, installations\, and rese
	arch-led\nengagements. \n\nAideen Barry is a conceptual artist based in Ir
	eland with an international\nmultifaceted practice spanning filmmaking\, p
	erformance\, experimental lens-based\nmedia\, drawing\, and sculpture. Her
	 work employs visual trickery to create a\nheightened suspension of realit
	y\, with a central theme of exploring sinister\nsystems. Barry is a member
	 of Aosdána and the Royal Hibernian Academy\, and her\nwork is held in pri
	vate collections and public museum collections worldwide. \n\nOur STAC res
	idency programme 2026 is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland\nand Tip
	perary County Council.
